Managing Task Statuses at the Space Level in Astravue

Managing Task Statuses at the Space Level in Astravue

Each space in Astravue can have its own set of task statuses. This allows you to customize workflows that reflect how your team actually works — whether it's marketing, onboarding, support, or development.

You can manage task statuses directly at the space level using multiple options.

Accessing Task Status Settings

  1. Navigate to the space you want to update (e.g., Demo Space).

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Task Statuses from the dropdown.

This will open the Task Status panel for the selected space.

What You Can Do

Inside the Task Status panel, you have two main tabs:

1. Current Task Statuses

Here, you can:

  • View all existing statuses under Open and Closed categories

  • Add new statuses by clicking + Add status

  • Reorder statuses using the drag handle (⋮⋮)

  • Click on a status to rename or customize it

2. Switch Template

Use this tab to:

  • Apply a different status template from the available list

  • Choose from built-in templates like Scrum, Support, Issue Tracker, etc.

  • Create a new template if your workflow requires something unique

Example: Default Setup

By default, you might see:

Open:

  • 🟦 OPEN

  • 🟨 IN-PROGRESS

  • 🔴 ON-HOLD

Closed:

  • 🟢 COMPLETED

You can modify this entirely or extend it with more relevant stages like “Review,” “Blocked,” or “QA Approved.”

Why This Matters?

Customizing task statuses at the space level means:

  • Every team works with the most relevant workflow

  • You avoid clutter and confusion from irrelevant statuses

  • You maintain consistency across projects within the same space
