Overview
Task dependencies help you define relationships between tasks, ensuring that certain tasks are completed before others begin. This structure prevents delays and keeps your workflow in order.
There are two types of dependencies:
Blocking: This task must be completed before others can proceed.
Blocked: This task cannot start until its blocking task is completed.
Use dependencies when:
One task relies on the outcome of another.
Tasks need to follow a specific sequence.
You want to prevent team members from working on tasks prematurely.
Open the task you want to mark as Blocked.
Scroll to the Dependencies or Linked Tasks section.
Click Add Dependency.
Search and select the task that blocks this task.
Save changes.
Dependencies are visually indicated in your task view or board.
Tasks can have multiple blocking or blocked relationships.
Removing a dependency will restore the task’s standalone status.
Completed task will be showing in the list with a green check mark
"Write Content" must be completed before "Publish Blog Post".
