In Astravue, creating Spaces is reserved for users with specific roles to ensure proper management and oversight. Only those assigned the roles of Account Admin or Admin within the organizational hierarchy have the authority to create Spaces. When a user creates a Space, they automatically become the Space Admin, giving them full control over that Space.
Once a Space is created, you can invite or add any member of your organization to it. Members can be assigned different roles within the Space. By default, the person who creates the Space is the Space Admin. However, you can promote other members to Space Admin roles if needed, granting them similar management privileges.
If you need to remove members from a Space, you can do so at any time. This action revokes their access to the Space’s projects and tasks. However, note that you cannot delete members from the Space—only remove them. Additionally, a Space Admin cannot remove themselves from a Space. If a Space Admin wishes to leave, another Space Admin must handle the removal or transfer of administrative power if they are the sole admin.
Both Space Admins and members have the flexibility to leave a Space whenever they choose. If a Space only has one Space Admin, that admin cannot leave the Space without transferring their admin role first. This safeguard ensures that every Space remains properly managed.
Only Space Admins have the ability to delete a Space.
Deleting a Space will remove everything associated with it, including all projects, files, and members linked to that Space. The data cannot be retrieved nce deleted.
